This is a rare original early Fallschirmjäger MP38/40 six-cell magazine pouch (MP38 u. MP40 Magazintasche). This type was the one specifically made early in the war for paratroopers before the standard types were made and issued. The pouch held six thirty-two round magazines. This pouch is made of tan coloured webbing, there are two belt-loops on the back, the belt-loops are made of captured allied ammo-belt material. The pouch is not visible maker marked or dated. The pouch has been period modified by adding D-rings to attach the carrying strap on each side. The pouch is in heavily used condition showing some period repairs. Rare and hard to find early Fallschirmjäger six-cell magazine pouch in really combat worn condition!
