Late War Wehrmacht Mess Kit M42 - Kochgeschirr 42 (Eis.). The 'Kochgeschirr 31' was introduced on 23 March 1931, the M42 Mess kit was a simplified version, completely made of steel, introduced in 1942. This is a nice original late war steel construction mess kit. The mess kit is nicely maker marked and dated with 'CFL 44' indicating production in 1944. The mess kit still retains almost all of its original olive-green paint on both the outside and inside, there are some minor rust spots and traces of usage. The mess kit is in uncleaned condition as found. Nice original late war example in very good condition!
