Rare Bakelite 6x30 Binoculars 'Dienstglas'
Rare late war Bakelite 6x30 Binoculars or 'Dienstglas' (Doppelfernrohr). The German army used a wide variety of optical enhancement items with the 6 x 30 power binoculars being the standard issue optics utilized by all branches of service. This is a rare set of bakelite binoculars, complete with 'Bakelite' eyecups, the metal parts are painted in the standard late war ordnance tan. The Binoculars are nicely maker marked with 'cxn' indicating production by the company of 'Emil Busch AG' from Rathenow. The binoculars also bears the inscription: 'Dienstglas 6x30' and the unique number '414908'. The two metal rings on the bottom of the optics are missing, this was a weak spot since these are often missing. The binoculars are complete with original leather carrying strap and rubber lens cover (Regenschutzdeckel für Doppelfernrohr) as found together. The binoculars are in good used condition. Rare original bakelite binoculars which will be perfect for use on a late war mannequin set-up!
