 Wehrmacht M31 Shelter Quarter (Zeltbahn 31). The shelter quarter served buttoned together to form a four-man tent (or larger), it could also be worn as a poncho to give protection against rain, and it served as camouflage during a battle. It is made of tightly woven cotton drill with the "splitter pattern" camouflage, which showed light colors on one side and dark colors on the other. This example is still showing bright colours. The shelter quarter is unfortunately in heavily used condition showing staining and damages, see photos. It however still displays nicely when folded. The Zeltbahn is nicely maker marked. Nice original Zeltbahn in heavily used condition!
