British 'Skeleton Assault Jerkin'. The Jerkin is made from waterproof canvas duck material and features pocket closures with strings and small wooden toggles. This is the second pattern with two curved pockets (for Bren magazines), on the side of the left hand chest pocket is a spike bayonet holder. One the back are two webbing extensions designed to allow the entrenching tool to be carried. The Jerkin is nicely maker marked and dated with 'W.& G. 1944' and size Small marked. There are some small stains caused by years of storage. Nice example in very good condition!
