Late War Wehrmacht Mess Kit M42 - Kochgeschirr 42 (Eis.). The 'Kochgeschirr 31' was introduced on 23 March 1931, the M42 Mess kit was a simplified version, completely made of steel, introduced in 1942. This is a nice original late war enamelled steel construction mess kit. The mess kit still retains most of its original dark black/grey enamel with some normal damages caused by usage, see photos. The mess kit is having a green painted handle which is nicely maker marked and dated 'WJ44' indicating production in 1944. The mess kit is in uncleaned condition as found. Rare original example in good used condition!
