This is a nice and rare original late war M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. The canteen and leather straps are all in overall good used condition with normal age and usage toning. The leather straps are nicely RB.Nr. marked. The gabardine type felt cover is in good used condition. The dark green painted steel canteen is nicely maker marked and dated 'SMM 45' indicating production in 1945. The canteen is complete with its original green painted metal cup, matching marked with 'SMM43'. Rare original late war last-ditch canteen in good condition!
