Late War WH (Heer) Combat Rucksack
Late War Wehrmacht (Heer) Combat Rucksack (Rucksack). During the war the early M34 and M39 Affe backpacks were found to be too expensive and time consuming to produce which resulted in the production of a wide variety of less expensive canvas construction combat rucksacks and backpacks. This is a late-war rucksack, executed in green, 'heavy-duty' cotton and has a rounded fold over top flap. There is an affixed inner-pouch made of cotton, intended to hold some private items, like towels etc. The metal D-rings on top of the flap are still present. Recycled materials have been used for the construction of this rucksack, all webbing straps are made of recycled internal field blouse support straps (Tragegurte). The rucksack is nicely RB.Nr. marked on the back. The rucksack comes together with a pair of separate carrying straps, made of internal field blouse support straps as well. Nice original late-war rucksack in mint and unissued condition!
