Wehrmacht Combat Engineer's Saw & Scabberd (Pioniersäge in Hülle). The scabberd is made from high quality so-called 'Preßstoff' (Ersatz) material, the scabberd is not visible maker marked. The middle of the scabbard has the addition of a stitched on, blackened leather, loop designed to be secured around the K98 bayonet. The saw is nicely maker marked by the company 'E. Winterhoff & Co.' from Remscheid and dated 1940, it is also showing a 'WaA' acceptance marking. Hard to find original Engineer's Saw & Scabberd in good used condition!
