Wehrmacht K98 Winter Trigger Device (Winterabzug für K98). The winter trigger device was designed to fit in the trigger guard of the K98 rifle allowing it to be fired without removing gloves or mittens. The winter trigger is marked 'mod 98' indicating that it was intended for use with the k98 rifle. The winter trigger is nicely maker marked and dated 'eeu 4' indicating production in 1944 by the 'Lieferungsgemeinschaft Westthüringische Werkzeug- u. Metallwarenfabriken GmbH' from Schmalkalden. The winter trigger is in ground-dug, yet still in good condition, see photos. Rare original example!
