WH (Heer) Medical M31 Canteen and Cup (Feldflasche 31 und Trinkbecher). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931. This is a so-called 'Labeflasche' with a 1 liter capacity as issued to mountain troops and medical personnel, complete with carrying harness and shoulder strap assembly. The canteen and brown leather straps are all in overall very good condition with minimal age and usage toning. The canteen, cup and straps are all nicely maker marked and dated with 'J.S.D.1940', indicating production in 1940. Nice original matching canteen in very good, near mint, condition!
