WH (Heer) 'Nebelwerfer' Summer Field Blouse
WH (Heer) Cotton Summer Field Blouse (Sommer Feldbluse). The field blouse is made of captured Russian cotton cloth, the tunic has four, pleated, pockets and field-grey finished, pebbled metal buttons. There is a six-button front closure using the same type of buttons. There is a dark-green woolen lay flat collar with a metal hook and loop neck closure. The field blouse is complete with a flat-wire woven breast eagle which is hand-sewn to the tunic, the eagle might have been reapplied once. The shoulder-boards, collar tabs and pants are piped in the dark-purple 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) as intended for Smoke Troops (Nebeltruppen). One pip and the cyphers '53' are attached to the shoulder-boards indicating an 'Oberleutnant' within the 'Nebelwerfer-Regiment 53'. There are loops to the wearer's left breast-pocket to attach various medals, a small ribbon bar is inglcuded with the tunic. The interior of the tunic is partly lined with blue-grey cotton. The field blouse is showing traces of usage and some staining but is in overall good used condition. Great original Smoke Troops summer field blouse!
This field blouse originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
