Rare original pair of 2nd Model Luftwaffe Fallschirmjäger Jump Boots (Fallschirmjäger Stiefel). This is a nice textbook pair of lace-up paratrooper jump boots, made of black coloured leather. The boots are slightly different in construction, one boot is marked "28 5 40 88" and the other boot is marked "28 5 40 85", they are from a different production run, both size 28 and dated May 1940, the boots have been issued as a pair and worn as a pair. The boots have recently been found, all traces of usage are matching on both boots, the soles have been repaired once. The boots are in heavily used and worn condition, see photos for more details.
