Wehrmacht M37 Mountain Trooper's Ankle Boots (Bergschuhe für Gebirgsjäger). Due to the nature of the terrain and the commonly colder climate that the Mountain Divisions were expected to serve in, special clothing, equipment and footwear was developed specifically for their use. This is a pair of Mountain Trooper's ankle boots, made of dark-brown leather. The boots are complete with original hobnails and iron parts. The boots are not visible maker marked or dated. The boots are in heavily used and worn condition showing damages and most of the fieldgrey wool at the shafts is missing, the boots come without laces as found. See photos for details. This pair would serve perfect as a pair of boots in a combat or prisoner of war display. Due to the condition the boots have been priced accordingly!
