Large sized framed Painting of a Wehrmacht Oberleutnant within the 'Infanterie-Regiment 82'. The officer is wearing his officer's tunic and visor cap, he's wearing various medals/awards on his tunic including an Iron Cross 1st Class, Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, Wound Badge in Black and a DRL Sports Badge. He's wearing a ribbon bar for a War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords and Wehrmacht Long Service Award, a ribbon for the Iron Cross 2nd class and Ostmedal are sewn through one of the button holes from his tunic. The oil painting is signed by 'Louis Montaigu' (1905-1988) and dated 1943. Louis Montaigu was born in 1905 and was primarily inspired creatively by the 1920s growing up. The oil painting is originally framed, the frame is sized approximately 61x72cms. Great looking original Wehrmacht painting!
