Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery Officer's Overseas Cap (Schiffchen für Offiziere). Field-grey woolen cap having bright golden/yellow celleon piping for officers ranks along the top edge of the fold down panels. The insignias on the cap are the Kriegsmarine coastal artillery style national eagle, nicely hand-embroidered in gold wire thread on a dark green woolen base, placed above a stunning hand-embroidered black/white/red national tri-color cockade. Both insignia are nicely period hand applied to the cap. The cap has a grey cotton lining and is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Johannes Hermann' from Marienberg, the cap is size 57 marked and dated 1942.
