WH (Heer) M42 SD Camouflage Helmet
WH (Heer) M42 Single Decal Camouflaged Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its rough textured, (field-applied) two tone tan/green camouflage over-paint. An army decal is clearly visible beneath the paint. The paint shows normal wear and scratches, see photos. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact and the liner is a large size '59'. The liner is complet with its original drawstring. The shell is marked with maker and size 'EF66' which indicates production by the company 'Emaillerwerke AG' in Fulda. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap, the chinstrap is nicely maker marked and dated 1941. Very nice and hard to find original untouched camouflaged helmet!
