Kriegsmarine cap-tally 'Unterseebootstender Weichsel' for wear on the donald-duck cap (Tellermütze). The 'Weichsel' was attached to the 1. Unterseebootsflottille and later the 22. Unterseebootsflottille. The Weichsel survived the war to be taken over first by the Royal Navy and then handed over to the Soviets. The cap-tally is executed in golden-yellow thread in 'BeVo' like weave-pattern. It shows some wrinkling and discoloration from being worn on a 'Tellermütze'. The Tally measures approximately 110cms in length. This tally is hardly ever offered for sale and one of the rarer to find U-boat related cap-tallys. Rare and hard to find original U-boat cap-tally in truly worn and cap removed condition!
