WH (Heer) M35 DD Combat Helmet

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its typical early field grey/green paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage and some surface rust. Both decals are in very good condition with some minor damage and scratches caused by usage, both decals are retained for about 95%. The Heer decal is the so-called 'Big-Foot' decal typical for this manufacturer. All three liner retaining rivets are intact and are showing the typical early apple-green colour. The interior of the helmet is a M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact, the liner is size '56' marked. The early liner is having a reinforced aluminum liner ring which is nicely maker marked and dated 1938. The original liner cord is present. The shell is marked with maker and size 'Q64' which indicates production by the company 'F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H.' from Esslingen. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '517'. There is a nice dome-stamp inside the shell. The helmet is complete with its original early leather chinstrap with aluminum roller-buckle and studs. The chinstrap is nicely maker marked and dated 1937. Nice and honest original early WH (Heer) M35 DD Helmet in good used condition!
