Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains almost all of its early Luftwaffe-gray paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage. Both decals are in good condition with some normal damage and scratches caused by usage, the Luftwaffe eagle and the national shield are both present for about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an early M31 leather liner with reinforced aluminum liner-ring, all eight fingers are present, the liner is a size '56'. The liner is in worn and slightly damaged condition. The shell is marked with maker and size 'SE64'. 'SE' is indicating production by the 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' in Lauter. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '1708'. Nice original early M35 DD Luftwaffe helmet in good used condition!
