German Double Decal M34 Fire Protection Police Helmet (Feuerschutzpolizei Stahlhelm M34). The stamped sheet 'square dip' steel construction M34 helmet retains most of its original black coloured paint and is showing some minor traces of usage. The helmet is complete with its original aluminum comb. The shell is nicely marked with 'D.R.P. Thale'. Both the police and party decal are present for about 95%. All four liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a M31 civil style leather liner, the liner is size '56' marked. The liner is complete with all five of the original leather tabs for attaching the protective leather neck guard, the helmet is complete with its original leather neck protection flap. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap. The helmet is showing normal traces of usage. It looks like the helmet might have been totally overpainted in black after the war and this layer of paint has been removed carefully, only minor remains are visible along the edges, see close up photos. Nice original 'Feuerwehr' helmet in very good condition!
