German Police 'Gendarmerie' Shako (Tschako für Mannschaften). High quality, privately purchased 1936 pattern Gendarmerie (Rural Police) Shako. The shako is complete with its original shako eagle and aluminum national cocarde. The Shako is not visible maker marked or dated. The shako is having an officers type leather sweatband, cloth lining material is however not present. The shako is showing normal traces of usage and there is regrettably some moth damage, see photos. Overall a nice original Gendarmerie Shako!
