High-Rank 'Reichsbahn' Official's Visor Cap
'Deutsche Reichsbahn' Visor Cap (DRB Dienstmütze). 'Deutsche Reichsbahn' was the name of the German national railway, from 1937 it was organized as the DRB. This is an early 1st model visor cap as worn from 1935 to 1941. The cap is having triple gold piping intended for high-ranking official's, equivalent to that of an Army officer in general's rank. The cap is complete with its original gold painted aluminum-type cap-eagle and early gold coloured cocarde. The cap is having a chin-strap as intended for an official within the 'Besoldungsgruppen' (Pay groups) 7 or higher. The interior of the cap is fully lined in an orange oilcloth, the cap is not visible maker marked or dated. The visor is showing a size '54' marking. The sweatband is in good used condition.
