Luftwaffe DD M35 Combat Helmet
Description
Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains almost all of its early Luftwaffe-gray paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage. Both decals are in good condition with some normal damage and scratches caused by usage. The Luftwaffe eagle decal is present for about 75%, the national shield is present for about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an early M31 leather liner with reinforced aluminum liner-ring, all nine fingers are present, the liner is a big size '59'. The liner is maker marked by the 'Schuberth Werk K.G.' from Braunschweig and dated 1938. The liner is complete with original liner cord. The liner is named to a soldier named 'Muhr'. The shell is marked with maker and size 'Q66'. 'Q' is indicating production by the company of 'F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H.' from Esslingen. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '1408'. The helmet is complete with its original early brown leather chinstrap with aluminum roller-buckle. The chinstrap is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Franz Brehme' from Walsrode and dated 1938. Stunning original early M35 DD Luftwaffe helmet in good used condition, these are getting increasingly hard to find!
