Luftwaffe Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains almost all of its early Luftwaffe-gray paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage. Both decals are in good condition with some normal damage and scratches caused by usage, the Luftwaffe eagle is present for about 90%, the national shield for about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an early M31 leather liner with reinforced aluminum liner-ring, all eight fingers are present, the liner is a size '58'. The liner is maker marked by the 'Schuberth Werk K.G.' from Braunschweig and dated 1938. The liner is complete with original liner cord. The shell is marked with maker and size 'Q66'. 'Q' is indicating production by the company of 'F.W. Quist, G.m.b.H.' from  Esslingen. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '5137'. The helmet is complete with its original brown leather chinstrap with aluminum roller-buckle. The helmet is nicely unit marked on the inside of the leather liner with '1./Flak R.6' indicating that this helmet belonged to a soldier within the 'Flak-Regiment 6'. Stunning original early M35 DD Luftwaffe helmet in very good condition, these are getting increasingly hard to find!
