Luftwaffe Flak EM/NCO's Visor Cap
This is a nice original Luftwaffe 'Flakartillerie' (Anti-Aircraft Artillery) EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased visor cap made of high quality gabardine wool, the sweatdiamond is present and marked 'Stirndruckfrei, Deutsches Reichspatent', although not maker marked this cap is in my opinion manufatured by the famous 'Peküro' company and shows all the features for a typical Peküro Cap. The cap is named to 'Kanonier L. Schulten' and unit marked for the '5./Flak-Rgt.14' (Flak-Regiment 14). The leather sweatband is in heavily used and damaged condition, see photos, the cap is size '57' marked on the inside of the sweatband. The visor is slightly damaged and might have been resewn. The cap is having the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for personnel serving within the Flakartillerie. The simulated leather chinstrap is in good condition. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cocarde and an in my opinion post-war replacement cap-eagle. The cap is having a great 'Sattelform' shape, see photos. Rarely found gabardine type Luftwaffe Flak visor cap in good used condition!
