Luftwaffe Flight EM/NCO's Visor Cap 'Erel'

Luftwaffe Flight/FJ EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is privately purchased visor cap, the cap nicely maker marked by the tailor 'Erel' from Berlin, the cap is approximately a size 55/56. The cap is having the yellow 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for paratrooper (Fallschirmjäger) and/or Flight personnel (Fliegendes Personal). The leather sweatband is in good used condition. The cap is complete with its original early aluminum cocarde. The cap eagle might be a post-war replaced example, see photos. The simulated leather chinstrap is in good condition. The cap shows normal traces of usage and some minor damages. Nice original Luftwaffe visor cap for a fair price!
