Luftwaffe 'LKpS101' Summer Flight Helmet (Fliegerkopfhaube für Sommer mit FT-Gerät). The 'LKpS101' Summer Flight Helmet model flight helmet was designed for summer wear and was outfitted with radio equipment as used by fighter pilots and bomber commanders, these were mostly used by fighter pilots. Blackened leather and tan coloured 'salt & pepper' linen construction flight helmet with steel fittings. The interior of the helmet is lined with brown/green rayon. The cap is complete with integral communications equipment and original long type wire but unfortunately missing its original bakelite plug. The cap is complete with label and maker marked with manufacturer's code 'bxo' which is indicating production by the 'Deutsche Telefonwerke u. Kabelindustrie A.G.' from Berlin, the cap is size '59' marked. The cap shows normal period wear and usage, see photos. Nice and hard to find original Summer Flight Helmet in good used condition!
