Luftwaffe Officer's Overseas Cap (Schiffchen für Offiziere). Luftwaffe blue/grey woolen construction EM/NCO's type overseas cap which has been upgraded to an Officer's rank by adding silver piping for officers along the top edge of the fold down panels. The cap is having an original applied machine-embroidered cap-eagle and black/white/red national tri-color cockade. The insignia are neatly period hand applied, see photos. The cap has a light-grey/tan coloured lining, the cap is nicely maker marked by the 'Schlesische Mützenfabrik' and dated 1941, it is size '55' marked. The cap is in very good condition with only minimal traces of usage.Hard to find original officer's overseas cap in very good condition!
