Luftwaffe Winter Fur Cap - 'Pelzmütze'
This is a nice original Luftwaffe Winter Fur Cap (Pelzmütze). These winter caps were a standard issue item and were distributed to all EM/NCO’s for the winter season, (15 September to 15 April), with other winter garments and were to be returned to the units clothing depot in April for storage, repair and cleaning to be re-issued the following September. Although there was no official standard model of the fur cap the most commonly encountered type followed the basic pattern of the Mountain and M43 caps with fold down back and side panels designed to protect the wearer’s ears and neck. The cap is complete with an original cap-eagle and cocarde, both nicely hand-sewn to the cap. The cap is not visible maker marked or dated. The cap just shows some minor traces of years of storage. These original fur caps are not so often offered for sale. Great original example in very good condition!

Dit is een mooie Luftwaffe Winter Bontmuts (Pelzmütze). Deze bont-mutsen waren een standaard stuk uitrusting en werden aan alle soldaten/onderofficieren uitgereikt voor het winterseizoen (15 september tot 15 april), ze moesten samen met andere winterkleding weer ingeleverd worden in april voor opslag, reparatie en schoonmaak en werden de volgende september weer uitgereikt. Er was geen standaard model bont-muts, echter werd in de regel het model van de berg- en M43-petjes aangehouden, met naar beneden vouwbare zij-panelen om de oren en nek van de drager te beschermen. De muts is compleet een originele pet-adelaar en kokarde, beiden mooi met de hand opgenaaid. De muts is niet zichtbaar maker gemarkeerd of gedateerd. De muts vertoont slechts lichte sporen van jaren van opslag. Deze bont-mutsen worden niet zo vaak aangeboden. Prachtig origineel exemplaar in erg goede staat!
