WH (Heer) Administrative Official's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Administrative Official's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze für einen Wehrmachtsbeamten). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased example. The celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') is still present, the cap is maker marked by the famous 'Erel' company of 'Robert Lubstein' from Berlin. The cap has no visible size markings, the cap is approximately a size 56. The Visor cap is piped in the darkgreen 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for administrative personnel. The leather sweatband is in good used condition. The cap is complete with its original early aluminum cap-eagle and cocarde. The cap is having an officer's type chinstrap. The cap is in overall good used and worn condition but unfortunately showing some heavy moth damage to one side, see photos. Still a nice original visor cap, priced accordingly to its moth-damaged condition!
