WH (Heer) Artillery Officer's Field Blouse

Description

Wehrmacht (Heer) Officer's Tunic as intended for an 'Oberstleutnant der Artillerie'. The German Officer’s service tunic followed the basic design of the Enlisted Men/NCO’s field blouse, the most readily visible difference (besides the insignia) are the turned up French cuffs. This is a nice quality, 'privately purchased' M36-style field-grey wool tunic with dark-green collar. The tunic is in overall very good condition with minor traces of usage. The buttons are all the field-grey pebbled examples. The tunic is complete with all insignia, including a nicely hand-embroidered breast-eagle, shoulder boards and officer's type collar tabs. The collar tabs have in my opinion been period replaced and the tunic looks overall in untouched condition. Both the collar tabs and shoulder-boards are piped in the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch colour) indicating the Artillery. The sew-in type shoulder-straps are having crossed cannon cyphers attached indicating an 'Oberstleutnant der Artillerie' with 'Waffen Offizier' (Ordnance Officer) function. The tunic is not visible maker marked or dated. The left breastpocket is showing loops to attach various awards. Together with the tunic comes a pair of red piped straight legged trousers, the trousers in my opinion are early post-war police or related trousers and will simply be included with the tunic for free. Nice original Artillery officer's field blouse in very good condition!
