WH (Heer) Artillery Officer's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Artillery Officer's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased Officer's example. Complete with celluloid sweat-diamond ('Raute'), maker marked by the company of 'H. Künisch' from Lückenwalde being a rarely seen manufacturer. The cap has no visible size markings, the size is approximately 57cms. The Visor cap is piped in the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Artillery personnel. The leather sweatband is in very good condition. The cap is complete with its officer's type nicely hand-embroidered cocarde and aluminum cap-eagle. The cap shows only minor traces of usage and age, see photos, the cap has a great shape. This cap would look great in an Artillery or Sturmgeschütz display. Stunning original visor cap in very good condition!
WH (Heer) 'Artillerie' Officiers Pet (Schirmmütze). Schirmmütze's waren een standaard hoofddeksel voor al het gewapende personeel tijdens het Derde Rijk. Manschappen kregen de Schirmmütze's uitgereikt via de militarie leveranciers, maar het was ook toegestaan om privé een Schirmmütze aan te schaffen. Dit is een privé aangekochtte Officiers Schirmmütze. Het celluloid maker label ('Raute') is aanwezig, de pet is mooi maker gemarkeerd door de firma 'H. Künisch' uit Lückenwalde, dit is een zeldzame zelden aangetroffen fabrikant. Er staan geen zichtbare maatstempels in de pet, de maat is ongeveer een 57. De pet heeft biezen in de rode 'Truppenfarbe' voor Artillerie personeel. De leren zweetband is in erg goede staat. De pet is compleet met zijn hand-geborduurde officier's type pet-kokarde en aluminium pet-adelaar. De pet vertoont slechts minimale gebruikssporen, zie foto's. De pet heeft een mooie vorm en uitstraling. Deze pet zou prachtig staan in een Artillerie of Sturmgeschütz display. Prachtige originele Schirmmütze in erg goede staat!
