WH (Heer) EM's M34 Overseas Cap
WH (Heer) EM's M34 Overseas Cap (Einheitsfeldmütze M34). The M34 overseas cap was introduced for wear by EM/NCO's on 24 March 1934. On 21 July 1942 it was replaced by the more functional M42 overseas cap followed by the M43 field-cap which was based on the M42 overseas cap and the Mountain Trooper’s Mountain Cap (Bergmütze). This is a textbook EM's M34 overseas cap. On front the cap is having an original BeVo-woven cap-eagle and cocarde, both the cap-eagle and cocarde are hand-sewn and might have been replaced once. The cap is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Carl Halfar' from Berlin and looks to be dated 1940, it's a larger size 58. The cap is showing some normal traces of usage and some minor staining, see photos. Nice original EM's Overseas Cap (Schiffchen) in good used condition!
This overseas cap originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
WH (Heer) Manschappen M34 Veldmutsje (Einheitsfeldmütze M34). Het M34 veldmutsje werd ingevoerd voor manschappen en onderofficieren op 24 Maart 1934. Op 21 Juli 1942 werd het vervangen door het praktischere Model 1942 veldmutsje, gevolgd door de M43 veld-pet. De M43 pet was gebaseerd op de M42 'Feldmütze' en de Gebirgsjäger 'Bergmütze'. Dit is een textbook M34 manschappen veldmutsje. Aan de voorzijde zitten een originele BeVo-geweven adelaar en kokarde, beiden zijn handmatig opgenaaid en wellicht ooit herplaatst. Het veldmutsje is mooi maker gemarkeerd door de firma 'Carl Halfar' uit Berlijn en lijkt 1940 gedateerd. Het is een grote maat 58. Het mutsje vertoont duidelijke gebruiks- en ouderdomssporen, zie foto's. Mooi origineel Manschappen veldmutsje (Schiffchen) in goede gedragen staat!
Deze veldmutsje is afkomstig uit de collectie van het onlangs gesloten Eyewitness Museum en was voorheen te zien in het diorama dat wordt getoond in de laaste foto!
