WH (Heer) 'Infanterie' EM/NCO's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) 'Infanterie' EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased EM/NCO's example. The celluloid manufacturers sweat-diamond ('Raute') is regrettably missing, the cap is not visible size marked, it's approximately a size '55'. The leather sweatband is in used condition. The cap is nicely unit marked on the inside of the leather sweatband with '56.J.R.' (56.Infanterie-Regiment). The Visor cap is piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Infantry personnel. The cap is complete with it's original early aluminum cap-eagle and cocarde. The cap is having a blackened patent leather chinstrap. The cap is in good used and worn condition showing some normal traces of usage, see photos. The cap is having a beautiful combat look shape. Nice original visor cap!
