WH (Heer) Infantry EM/NCO's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Infantry EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is nice EM/NCO's example, the celluloid sweat-diamond ('Raute') is damaged, it is size '54' marked. The Visor cap is piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Infantry personnel. The brown leather sweatband is in good condition, the cap is maker marked underneath the sweatband by a manufacturer from Mannheim and the cap is dated 1937, see photos. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cap eagle and cocarde. The cap is having a blackened patent leather chinstrap. The cap is showing clear traces of usage and some small (moth)damages, see photos. Nice original visor cap in good used condition!
