 WH (Heer) Double Decal M17 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M17), reissued in the Wehrmacht. The Austrian M16/M17 helmet was almost identical to the German version with the positioning of the chinstrap liner rivets being the most readily identifiable difference. The steel construction M17 helmet was refurbished for usage in the early Wehrmacht (Heer) by applying two decals. The steel construction helmet retains most of its original early field-grey/green paint, the paint is showing some scratches and normal traces of usage and slight surface rust. Both decals are in very good condition with some minor damage and scratches caused by usage, both decals are present for about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an original early M31 liner having a reinforced aluminum liner ring. The liner is size '59' marked, the original liner cord is present. The helmet is complete with its original damaged and incomplete chinstrap, the long strap looks like an old replacement. The helmet is in overall good used and untouched condition as found. Nice original early reissued M17 DD helmet in very good condition!

 WH (Heer) Double Decal M17 Gevechtshelm (Stahlhelm M17), hergebruikt in de Wehrmacht. De Oostenrijkse M16/M17 helm was bijna identiek aan de Duitse versie, het grootse verschil was de andere positie van de binnenwerk/kinriem klinknagels. De stalen M17 helm bevat nog het grootste deel van zijn originele veldgrijze/groene verf. De helm is aangepast voor gebruik in de vroege Wehrmacht (Heer) door het aanbrengen van twee emblemen. De vertoont wat krasjes en normale gebruikssporen. Beide emblemen zijn in zeer goede staat met enkele kleine beschadigingen en krasjes door gebruik, beide decals zijn nog voor ongeveer 95% aanwezig. Alle drie de splitpennen zijn intact en aanwezig. Het binnenwerk van de helm is een vroeg M31 binnenwerk met een verstevigde aluminium ring. Het binnenwerk is maat '59' gemarkeerd en compleet met het originele touwtje. De helm is compleet met zijn originele helaas incomplete en beschadigde kinriempje, het lange riempje lijkt een oude vervanging. De helm is in algeheel goede gebruikte en onaangeroerde staat zoals gevonden. Mooie originele vroege Wehrmacht hergebruikte M17 helm met twee plaatjes in erg goede staat!
