Wehrmacht (Heer) ex-Double Decal M35 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its original typical early applegreen paint, the paint is showing scratches and normal traces of usage. The heeres decal is retained for about 95%, the national shield has been period removed as per regulations. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a multi-piece construction M31 leather liner with all eight fingers intact, the early liner is having an early reinforced aluminum ring, the liner ring is maker marked and dated 1940. The original liner cord is present, the liner is size '55' marked. The shell is marked with maker and size 'ET62' which indicates production by the company 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' from Thale/Harz. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '4683', a name 'Mühlhausen' has been painted inside the back of the helmet. Nice and honest original early WH (Heer) M35 ex-DD Helmet!
