Wehrmacht (Heer) M35 Reissued Single Decal Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M35). The stamped sheet steel construction M35 helmet retains most of its rough textured, field-grey overpaint. The original early apple-green colour is clearly visible beneath the fieldgrey overpaint. The paint shows normal wear and scratches caused by usage, see photos. A standard Heeres decal is applied to the left side of the helmet, the decal is retained for about 95%. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet has a M31 leather liner with aluminum liner-ring. The liner ring is dated 1937. The liner is size '57' marked, the liner is complete with its original drawstring. This is a wartime reissued helmet which was overpainted in fieldgrey on the outside having one decal applied. The shell is marked with maker and size 'SE64' which indicates production by the 'Sächsische Emaillier und Stanzwerke A.G.' in Lauter. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number '3592'. A name is painted inside the helmet 'Obltn. Winkelmann' (Oberleutnant). Nice and honest original reissued M35 combat helmet in very good condition!
