Wehrmacht (Heer) M42 Combat Helmet (Stahlhelm M42). The stamped sheet steel construction M42 helmet retains most of its typical late war rough textured matte field-grey paint. The paint shows normal traces and small scratches caused by usage. All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is an M31 leather liner, the liner is in very good condition anc omplete with original drawstring. The liner is size '56' marked. The shell is maker marked with 'ET64' which indicates production by the company 'Eisen-und Hüttenwerke, AG' from Thale/Harz. The reverse interior neck guard apron has a stamped serial number. The helmet is named to Oberleutnant 'Heimsberg'. The helmet is complete with its original leather chinstrap, the chinstrap is faintly maker marked and looks to be dated 1943. Nice original late war M42 combat helmet in very good condition!
