WH (Heer) Officer's M43 Cap
Description
WH (Heer) Officer's M43 Cap (Einheitsfeldmütze M43 für Offiziere). The M43 field cap was introduced for wear by all ranks on 11 June 1943 as a replacement cap for all other field caps then in use. The design of the M43 field cap was based on the earlier M42 overseas cap (Feldmütze) and the Mountain Trooper’s Mountain Cap (Bergmütze) with minor variations. The standard fieldgrey wool construction M43 cap is having silver officers piping attached to the crown of the cap. The cap is not visible maker marked or dated. There is a small leather sweat-band on the forehead section. The cap is complete with a nicely machine sewn M43 type cap-eagle/cocarde trapezoid to the front of the cap. The cap is in very good condition showing minor traces of usage. Stunning original WH Heer M43 Officer's cap!
