WH (Heer) 'Panzergrenadier' Officer's Tunic & Visor Cap
Wehrmacht (Heer) Officer's Tunic & Visor Cap as intended for a 'Leutnant der Panzergrenadiere'. The German Officer’s service tunic followed the basic design of the Enlisted Men/NCO’s field blouse, the most readily visible difference (besides the insignia) are the turned up French cuffs. This is a nice quality privately purchased M36-style field-grey wool tunic with dark-green collar. The tunic is in overall very good condition with normal traces of usage. The buttons are all the field-grey pebbled examples. The tunic is complete with a nicely hand-embroiderd breast-eagle which is nicely hand-sewn to the tunic, a pair of collar tabs is nicely period machine-sewn to the collar and the tunic is complete with sew-in type shoulder boards. Both the collar tabs shoulder-boards are piped in the bright-green 'Truppenfarbe' (branch colour) indicating the 'Panzergrenadiere' (motorised or mechanized infantry). The shoulder-boards are indicating a 'Leutnant' within the 'Panzergrenadier-Regiment 33'. There are loops to the wearer's left breast-pocket for attaching several awards and a Close Combat Clasp or Ribbon Bar. The visor cap is complete with celluloid sweat-diamond ('Raute'), marked with 'Deutsche Wertarbeit'. The Visor cap is piped in the bright green 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Panzergrenadier personnel. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cap eagle and zinc type cap cocarde. Both the tunic and cap are showing normal traces of usage and some minor staining. Nice original 'Panzergrenadier' Officer's tunic & visor cap in good used condition!
