Imperial Japanese Steel Helmet. This is a civil defense type helmet, however having a star insignia on front. The helmet is complete with its original late war cloth type liner and chinstrap. The name and unit of the soldier are painted in white Kanji on the inside rim, the name would translate as 'Yu-Saku', see photos. This helmet was taken home as a souvernir by a US GI during World War 2. Nice original WW2 Japanese helmet in good used condition!
