Hitler-Jugend Knife (HJ Fahrtenmesser). The 'HJ Fahrtenmesser' (Hike/Camp knife) was introduced in early 1933. The zinc type knife has black molded diamond grooved bakelite grips, the obverse grip has an imbedded enameled HJ diamond. The knife comes with its original magnetic sheet metal scabbard, the scabberd still retains most of its original black paint and shows normal traces of usage. The leather belt loop is present and complete with the small leather retaining strap. The knife is unfortunately having a damaged blade, see photos. The blade is 'RZM M7/52' marked indicating production by the company of 'Herbertz & Meurer' from Solingen. Overall still a nice original HJ dagger in good used condition for a fair price!
