Militaria Plaza

 This is a nice Dutch Military cyclist's bandoleer (Patroontaschbandelier Wielrijders). The bandoleer was instituted in 1916. The bandoleer is made of grey canvas and shows 8 Carbine Ammunition-pouches (2x3x3), it is closed by a metal belt buckle, this is an often missing piece. The bandoleer is nicely marked and dated with 'C.M.1916' (Centrale Magazijnen), there are some more numbers/markings showing most likely the unit and service number. The bandoleer is in good used condition with normal traces of usage and age, the stitching of one of the leather pouches looks period replaced or repaired. This item is almost 100 years old. Extremely hard to find piece of Dutch equipment!
