Dutch 'Grove Stof' Combat Overseas Cap
This is a nice Dutch so-called 'Grove Stof' Combat Overseas Cap (Veldmuts). The overseas cap is made of the so-called 'grove-stof', this is the fieldgrey woolen cloth used to manufacture the combat tunics. The overseas cap is nicely marked and dated with 'CM39', 'Centraal-Magazijn' and indicating production in 1939. The overseas cap is size '57' marked. The overseas cap is maker marked by the company of 'J.P. Mol' in Breda. The Regimental Numbers '16' are attached to the cap, this is indicating the 16th Regiment Infantry. The leather sweatband is in good used condition. There are some normal traces of usage, some staining, and a few small moth damages, see photos. Dutch combat tunics or headgear from the mobilisation period is very hard to find, due to the fact that the German Army recycled almost all of it. Scarce original Dutch overseas cap in good used condition!
Dit is een mooie Nederlandse 'Grove Stof' Veldmuts. De veldmuts is gemaakt van de zogenoemde 'grove-stof', dat is een veldgrijze wollen stof waarvan de gevechtsuniformen werden gemaakt. De veldmuts is gemarkeerd met 'CM39', 'Centraal-Magazijn' en datering 1939. De veldmuts is maat '57' gemarkeerd. Verder is de veldmuts maker gemarkeerd door de firma 'J.P. Mol' uit Breda. De Regiments nummers '16' zijn op de veldmuts bevestigd, dit duit op het 16e Regiment Infanterie. De leren zweetband is in goede staat. De veldmuts vertoont normale gebruikssporen, wat vlekjes en een aantal kleine mot-beschadigingen, zie foto's. Nederlandse gevechts-uniformen en hoofddeksels uit de mobilisatie periode zijn erg moeilijk te vinden, dit vanwege het feit dat het Duitse leger bijna alles gerecycled heeft. Mooi origineel Nederlands Grove Stof veldmustje in goede gebruikte staat!
