Description

This is a nice Dutch so-called 'Grove Stof' Combat Tunic (Veldjas M.1915). The tunic is made of the so-called 'grove-stof', this is the fieldgrey woolen cloth used to manufacture the combat tunics. The tunic is nicely marked and dated with 'MA 1916'. The tunic is size '2' marked. The tunic is having the so-called 'Bananenschillen' attachted to the sleeves, which indicates the rank of 'Sergeant', the tunic is having the blue branch colour indicating a Sergeant within the Army (Infantry). The tunic is modified in the 30's having directly sewn on shoulder-boards and sewn on breast-pockets. There are some small moth damages and normal traces of usage. One of the original cloth-covered buttons on the back is loose but comes with the jacket and can easily be re-attached. Scarce original jacket in good used condition, not often offered for sale!
