Product Images
Dutch 'Kepie' (Buitenmodel). This kepi was part of the 'buitenmodel' tunic, these tunics were privately purchased tunics in field blue-grey woolen cloth. Soldiers who were not able to buy a complete tunic often bought only the kepi. This is a soldiers rank kepi, recognizable by the double blue coloured piping. The blue coloured piping in combination with the Regimental Number '1' indicate that this kepi belonged to a soldier within the 1st Regiment Infantry. The leather sweatband is partly damaged and incomplete. The kepi is nicely maker marked by the company of 'J.P.Mol' from Breda (Holland). There are some moth damages, see photos. Nice original kepi in good used condition!
