Dutch Female 'Nederlandsch Indië' arm-badge (VK-KNIL Mouwleeuw) with medical service title (Geneeskundige Dienst). The arm-badge is showing a machine-embroidered Dutch lion above the script 'Ned.Indië' (Nederlandsch Indië) and comes with a separate title 'Geensk.Dienst' (Medical Service). This is a wartime US produced patch as issued to female members within the 'VK-KNIL' (Vrouwenkorps KNIL). These insignia were worn by one detachment of about 20 ladies from Curacao that left for Australia in August 1944. Rare original insignia set in very good condition!
