Dutch military combat pants

Description

Dutch military combat pants (Grove Stof Broek). The pants are made of the so-called 'grove-stof', this is the fieldgrey woolen cloth used to manufacture the combat tunics. This is an early Model 1915 type short knee high pants which were specifically intended for wear in combination with the puttees (Beenwindsels). The pants are having the new fieldgrey colour as introduced in 1923, this type of pants was replaced by a slightly altered new model in 1934, the stock of these paints however remained in use until the mobilisation period of 1939/1940. The pants are nicely CM (Centraal Magazijn) marked and dated, the date is hard to read. The pants are in good used condition with normal traces of usage and age, see photos. Two buttons on the closure of each trouser pipe have been added and therefore the pants have probably been reissued in the German army during WW2. Extremely hard to find original Dutch pants!
